Updates on Cancellation and Refunds
At Orvia (operated under legal entity name), we strive to create memorable and seamless experiences for every occasion. We understand that plans can change, and we aim to make our cancellation and refund process as clear, fair, and transparent as possible in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
1. Customer-Initiated Cancellations
For the majority of bookings made through Orvia, if you choose to cancel your booking or experience:
Cancellation Fee: A non-refundable standard administrative/cancellation fee of INR 999 + applicable taxes (GST) will be charged per cancellation.
Future Credit Adjustment: The remaining balance paid towards the booking will be converted into Orvia Experience Credit. This credit will be adjusted against any future booking made with us within one (1) year from the date of cancellation.
Lapse of Credit: If the accrued credit is not utilized for a new booking within the 1-year (12-month) period, the credit amount will automatically lapse and cannot be claimed, refunded, or extended thereafter.
2. Cancellations or Non-Fulfillment by OrviaIn the unlikely event that Orvia is unable to deliver or provide you with the booked experience due to operational constraints, vendor issues, or unexpected internal disruption on our side:
Service Fee: A minimal fee of INR 499 + applicable taxes (GST) will be applicable on the total paid amount to cover administrative processing and third-party merchant gateway charges.
Remaining Balance Options: The remaining paid amount will be addressed in one of the following ways:
Future Credit: Issued as store credit valid for any booking made within one (1) year.
Original Source Refund: Refunded back directly to your original payment source (Bank Account, UPI, Credit/Debit Card).
Management Discretion: The decision regarding whether the balance will be provided as future booking credit or refunded to the original payment source will be made on a case-to-case basis and shall remain at the sole discretion of Orvia’s management.
3. Timeline & Refund Processing
Credit Issuance: Any store credit generated will be credited to your registered account or issued via an official credit voucher within 48 to 72 hours of cancellation confirmation.
Monetary Refunds: Where a monetary refund is approved by management to the original payment source, the refund will be initiated within 5 to 7 business days. The final reflection in your bank account/card statement depends on your bank’s clearing cycle.
4. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)
If an experience is canceled due to events beyond human control — including extreme weather conditions (e.g., severe storms/cyclones in coastal areas like Goa), official government directives, public restrictions, or natural disasters — Orvia will work to reschedule your experience or issue equivalent store credit valid for 1 year. Direct monetary refunds under Force Majeure remain subject to third-party vendor (hotels, yacht operators, venues) terms and management review.
